Neutralization: The NA/LE™ format of this antibody is useful for neutralization of mouse IL-1beta bioactivity. Assay Type: Proliferation at 2 ng/ml mouse IL-1beta (Cat. No. 554577) Indicator cell: TF-1 at 10^5 cells/ml and Preincubation of antibody and ligand = 60 minutes ELISA Capture: The purified B122 antibody (Cat. No. 550605) has been reported to be useful as a capture antibody for a sandwich ELISA for measuring mouse IL-1beta protein levels.
Immunoprecipitation: The B122 antibody has been reported to be useful for the immunoprecipitation of both natural and recombinant forms of mouse IL-1beta protein. Please note that the antibody is not routinely tested for this application at BD Biosciences. - Restrictions

- Sujet
- The B122 antibody recognizes the precursor and mature secreted forms of the mouse IL-1beta protein. B122 neutralizes the biological activity of mouse IL-1beta, but not the biological activities of mouse IL-1alpha nor human IL-1beta. B122 does not recognize mouse IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF or IFN-gamma. This antibody also recognizes rat IL-1beta. The immunogen used to generate the B122 hybridoma was a purified, mature form of the mouse IL-1beta protein.
