FASL
(Fas Ligand (TNF Superfamily, Member 6) (FASL))
Fas ligand,CD178 / Fas-L (Fas ligand, CD95L), a member of TNF family transmembrane glycoproteins, is responsible for induction of apoptosis in cells containing its receptor CD95 / Fas. The CD178-mediated apoptosis pathway has been implicated in peripheral tolerance, tissue pathology, and maintenance of the immune privileged sites. Defects in this interaction may be related to some cases of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). CD178 was also described as a co-stimulatory receptor for T-cell activation in mice in vivo.,APTL, FASL, FAS-ligand, CD95L, TNFSF6, TNLG1A
