- Sujet
- Carbonic anhydrase III (CA3) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CA3 gene. It is a member of a multigene family (at least six separate genes are known) that encode carbonic anhydrase isozymes. The gene spans 10.3 kb and contains seven exons and six introns. The protein is found in high concentration in muscle. It is used in conjunction with creatine kinase detection of the carrier state for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
