Application
- Western Blotting (WB)
- Specificité
- The antibody detects endogenous levels of IRS-1 only when phosphorylated at serine 312.
- Purification
- The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
- Immunogène
- Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pSer312 (A-T-S (p) -P-A) derived from Human IRS-1. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic peptide and KLH conjugates.

- Sujet
- May mediate the control of various cellular processes by insulin. When phosphorylated by the insulin receptor binds specifically to various cellular proteins containing SH2 domains such as phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p85 subunit or GRB2. Activates phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase when bound to the regulatory p85 subunit
