The antibody detects endogenous level of ASK1 only when phosphorylated at serine 83.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Immunogène
Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pSer83 (G-S-S (p) -V-G) derived from Human ASK1. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

Component of a protein kinase signal transduction cascade. Phosphorylates and activates MAP2K4 and MAP2K6, which in turn activate the JNK and p38 MAP kinases, respectively.
