- Fonction
- NBR1 is a protein encoded by the NBR1 gene which is approximately 107,4 kDa. NBR1 is localised to the cytoplasm and is involved in animal mitophagy. It contains a B-box/coiled-coil motif and functions as a specific autophagy receptor for the selective autophagic degradation of peroxisomes by forming intracellular inclusions with ubiquitylated autophagic substrates. NBR1 is expressed in the nervous system, bone marrow, lung and muscle. Mutations in the NBR1 gene may result in inclusion body myositis and synucleinopathy. STJ98902 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody detects endogenous NBR1 protein.
