Indications d'application
Peptide ELISA: Limit Dilution: 1/32000. Western blot: 0.2-0.5 μg/mL. This antibody detects a band of approx. 85 kDa in transfectedHEK293 transiently expressing full-length Human STAT4 (MYC and DYKDDDDK tagged). No bands were observed in mock-transfected HEK293 and the same band was observedusing anti-myc tag antibody. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Sujet
The STAT 4 protein is a transcription factor activated by hormone and cytokines. STAT 4 is most similar to STAT 1 (52 % ) and STAT 3 (47 %). Functionally STAT 4 is similar to other STAT family members in that it can be tyrosine phosphorylated by JAK 1 or JAK 2. STAT 4 forms homodimers and heterodimers with related STAT family members. Tyrosine phosphorylated STAT 4 can bind the interferon g activated site (GAS), and serine phosphorylation is also required for maximal transcriptional activity. STAT 4 expression is restricted to the thymus, spleen, and testis.Synonyms: Signal transducer and activator of transcription 4
