Background: Associates with the ryanodine receptor (RYR-2) in cardiac muscle sarcoplasmic reticulum and may play a unique physiological role in excitation-contraction coupling in cardiac muscle. PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides.
