- Sujet
- Strep Tag II, Strep II,The Strep-tag II is a synthetic peptide consisting of eight amino acids ( WSHPQFEK ). This peptide sequence exhibits intrinsic affinity towards Strep-Tactin, a specifically engineered streptavidin and can be N- or C- terminally fused to recombinant protein. The Strep-tag II peptide was developed as an affinity tool for the purification of corresponding fusion proteins on streptavidin columns. The peptide recognizes the same pocket of streptavidin where the natural ligand is normally bound so that biotin or its chemical derivatives can be used for competitive elution.
