- Sujet
- Background: The protein, Tuba, was identified in a search for proteins containing a domain related to the BAR (Bin/amphyphysin/Rvs) domain of amphiphysin-1. Tuba was named according to a tradition of naming large synaptic proteins after musical instruments. Tuba is concentrated at synapses in the brain has been found to function as a scaffolding protein that brings dynamin together with actin regulatory proteins.
