- Sujet
- Background: CIAPIN1 (cytokine-induced apoptosis inhibitor 1) is also known as Anamorsin. CIAPIN1 may be required for the maturation of extramitochondrial Fe/S proteins. CIAPIN1 has anti-apoptotic effects in the cell, and is involved in negative control of cell death upon cytokine withdrawal. CIAPIN1 also promotes development of hematopoietic cells [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) Q6FI81].
