DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a DEAD box protein, the function of which has not been determined. Synonyms: Monoclonal DDX27 antibody, Anti-DDX27 antibody, DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 27 antibody, RHLP antibody, Rrp3p antibody, PP3241 antibody, HSPC259 antibody, MGC1018 antibody, FLJ12917 antibody, FLJ20596 antibody, FLJ22238 antibody, dJ686N3.1 antibody, DKFZp667N057 antibody.
