- Sujet
- RhoG(Ras homology Growth-related) is a member of the Rac subfamily of the Rho family of small G proteins. RhoG is a small monomeric GTP-binding protein (G protein), and is an important component of many intracellular signalling pathways. This protien are required for the formation of membrane ruffles during macropinocytosis. It plays a role in cell migration and is required for the formation of cup-like structures during trans-endothelial migration of leukocytes. Like most small G proteins RhoG is involved in a diverse set of cellular signalling mechanisms. In mammalian cells these include cell motility, gene transcription, endocytosis, neurite outgrowth, protection from anoikis and regulation of the neutrophil NADPH oxidase. Recombinant human RhoG protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
