Sujet
FCER2, also known as low affinity immunoglobulin epsilon Fc receptor isoform a, is a member of subgroup II of the C-type (Ca++-dependent) lectin superfamily. It is a low affinity receptor for B cell specific antigen and IgE. It plays an essential role in the growth and differentiation of B cells, and in the regulation of IgE production. This protein also exists in a soluble secretion form and functions as a powerful cleavage-promoting growth factor. Increased levels of soluble CD23 / FCER2 lead to the recruitment of unaffected B cells in the presentation of antigen peptides to allergen-specific B cells. Recombinant human FCER2, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
