For functional cellular assays (mast cell / basophil activation), when used at dilutions < 1:100, the sodium azide free formulation is recommended. Quality assurance: Reactivity > 99 %, compared to calibrator (Internal Standard mAb BSW17), tested by ELISA binding to immobilized human Standard IgE (SUS-11)

The antibody recognizes a conformational epitope within the Ce3 domain of human IgE spanning towards the amino-terminal part of the Ce4 domain. It blocks the binding of IgE to its high affinity receptor on mast cells and basophils. It is therefore suited as an inhibitory reference compound for mast cell modulator profiling and basic research on IgE mediated mast cell receptor signaling.
